About Jason Peterson

I am the Business Development Manager for CALBAG METALS, a scrap metal and electronics recycler/processor in the Pacific Northwest. We operate facilities in both Portland, OR (headquarters) and Tacoma, WA. Our Portland, OR location is located in the heart of Portland's Industrial District as well as at the foot of Forest Park, the largest park of it's kind to be located within the confines of any city in the United States. This juxtaposition is at the heart of our business. While we are an industrial-type business we constantly strive to operate under the strictest of environmental regulations to ensure our processes and products do little damage to the environment. We have state-of-art Storm Water Rx water treatment systems at both facilities to control water down-flow and both facilities are ISO 14001:2004 Registered. From an operation standpoint this makes our business harder, but it also keeps us brutally honest. We cannot cut corners. Every operation, from the time metal is picked up in our trucks to when it arrives at it's final destination, is pain-staking managed and monitored to make sure it is in compliance. In the long term, this makes us much more viable and ensures our customers they are working with a true steward of the environment and leader in the scrap metal recycling industry. We are primarily a non-ferrous metal recycler, however, we operate a large-scale steel recycling business from our Tacoma, WA location, recycle electronics at both locations, and operate an industrial-sized wire processor at our Portland, OR location. We are a third-generation, family-owned and operated business, with Warren Rosenfeld being the current President of the company. We are a global supplier of non-ferrous scrap material. We have agents in China, Taiwan, Korea, Japan, and other countries and sell full-loads domestically, directly to refineries and smelters. Are products are recognized the world-over for being of the utmost quality and because of this high-level of quality and attention to detail in our repeatable processes we are able to command a premium for our products.
